Design Engineer - Heavy Equipment... Pro-E

We are a heavy equipment manufacturer located in the quite surroundings near South Western Tennessee and manufacture the worlds best and most efficient heavy equipment used in the "Green" industry. As a result of our growth, we are adding to our team a Design Enginer / Product Development Engineer to support the product development / deployment lifecycle of our products. The Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer is responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. In this role, you are performing engineering design evaluations, developing a range of products, recommending alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. You also are establishing and maintaining a strong orientation for continuously seeking/securing customer feedback and input to drive product designs and development, and provide tactical product market input of appropriate value-added marketing materials (such as literature and website content) and training materials (such as Features & Benefits, Competitive Comparisons, and Sales Presentations); You may participate in product line profitability reporting, including identifying Standard vs. Special Options and suggesting pricing strategies; and ensure that you are serving as a Product Champion within the company. Requirements The Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer MUST possess Product Development Engineering experience in HEAVY EQUIPMENT Manufacturing, be an effective communicator, a skilled at tactical product development initiatives, and have the capacity to work with all levels of the organization. * 5 years of progressive experience in Heavy Equipment Engineering of industrial/commercial product development including product road mapping, tactical roadmap implementation, and Phase/Stage Gate cross-functional processes. * Demonstrated experience with customer interaction in identifying customer needs; able to articulate customer needs. * Working knowledge of product engineering and product launch programs. * Experience with CASTINGS. * Experience in FEA and 3D Product Design. (Pro-Mechanica) * Education - Engineering undergraduate degree is required, Master's degree is a plus. If you have designed products for Semi Truck, Speciality Truck (Dump, Trailer, Transport) or familiar with Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Operation (Case, John Deer, Caterpillar, Komatsu, etc.) with a working knowledge of product engineering, product development, and product launch exposure WE WANT TO TALK TO YOU about this opportunity.
